AMD ha lanzado antes de lo esperado sus nuevos controladores gráficos ATI Catalyst 11.8 WHQL, los que llegan a poco tiempo de los Catalyst 11.7 WHQL y los Catalyst 11.8 Preview lanzados el pasado 27 de julio. Esta nueva entrega con certificación WHQL brinda soporte para GPU AMD Radeon, AMD Accelerated processing units (APU) y chipset AMD con video integrado y algunas mejoras importantes de rendimiento en varios juegos. También se ha mejorado la integración con AMD Overdrive para el overclock de GPU y CPU a través del AMD Vision Control Center.
